We are passionate about leading our church in worship. Every service, our worship positions those in the room to connect with God individually and collectively.

We know sometimes you might like to hear some of the songs we are singing on Sunday before hand or even throughout the week, so we put the Sunday's Setlist together here for you. Just tap the listen now button and enjoy!

Worship is such a valued priority here, we know that the right fit is an important part of what makes for a healthy, positive, and encouraging, team culture. We are essentially a musically minded and creative community within the church community as a whole. This is to say that there is a simple but very important process to becoming part of the worship team. If that is an area that you are interested in please follow through below by submitting our Worship Team Application. Keep in mind that this is also for those desiring to join with Sound, Tech, AV, as well. And just in case you find your self interested but struggling with the idea, below is some thoughts that may help you along that journey. Thanks for stopping by.
4 Reasons To Join The Worship Team!
First, here is a little bit about who I am and how I got plugged into the Worship Team. I was around 25 years old the first time I lead worship. Previous to that I had played in small rock bands in local pubs around town. My story, I’ve since learned is very similar to many. I had recently renewed my relationship with Jesus and I was looking for areas to be involved in my church and wasn't sure what to do. It was then, when a youth pastor reached out to me about getting involved. Needless to say, they had a void on their worship team and I had a void in my heart, ready for God to fill with His purpose. Long story short, I began to show up week after week to learn a whole new way and reason for playing music and singing. on the “big stage”. The first song I remember singing was “Everyday” (an oldie, but a goodie) by Hillsong UNITED. I was terrified, but I loved every second of it!
From there, I began to lead worship and play guitar for small Student Ministries events. Later on, I joined the Weekend Worship Team. As a young adult, I attended Summer Camps, and during an evening session, there was a prayer opportunity for anyone who wanted to know God’s calling for their life. One of my fellow leaders prayed for me and I heard the Holy Spirit say, “I want you to be the best worship leader you can be!” Since then, I have put energy and effort into growing in my knowledge and experience as a musician, a vocalist and a worship leader.
Being a part of the Worship Team has blessed me in so many ways! I have not only grown as a musician and a vocalist, but more importantly as a worshiper. My most intimate moments with Jesus are often during corporate and personal worship experiences. If you are a musician or a vocalist, here a few reasons I believe you should explore serving on the team:
#1. Community & Connection.
Psalm 133:1, "How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity!"
Psalm 133:1, "How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity!"
The Worship Team is one big family! From rehearsals to playing together for our services and special events, to powerful group prayers, and even Worship Team events, we spend a ton of time together. This gives all of us the opportunity to get to know one another easily. If you are on the team for any given weekend, you can expect great conversations along with a ton of laughter!
#2. You develop your gifts.
1 Peter 4:10, "Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.”

As a musician or vocalist, A/V operator, being on the Worship Team enables you to continue to grow in the gifts God has given you. Playing and singing working with other team members pushes you to grow in your skills and sparks your creativity. Playing music and working on a team is way more fun than it is by yourself!
At Painesville A/G, we have made it easy for people to get plugged in, whether you are an experienced musician or still gaining experience. If you are unsure if your skill set matches the skill set we desire, please don’t let that stop you from exploring the Worship Team! We have several different venues and opportunities that you can serve in that each require a different level of skill and commitment. These venues include Student Ministries, Young Adults, the Nursing Home Ministry and the Main Auditorium. If you are interested in joining the team, I would love to talk through which venue would be the perfect fit for you.
#3. We need you!
1 Corinthians 12:27, “Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it."
1 Corinthians 12:27, “Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it."
Our team is never full. There will always be room for new members. I want to invite you to play your part in the body of Christ. Currently, we are need of musicians and vocalists. If you play drums, bass, guitar, keys/piano, strings or sing, please considering joining the team!
#4. Worship honors God.
John 4:23, "Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in the Spirit and in truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks.”
#4. Worship honors God.
John 4:23, "Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in the Spirit and in truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks.”
God is seeking worshipers! It is time for us to step into our identity as worshipers of God. God deserves our attention, our praise, our love. Yes, the worship team provides us with a community. Yes, the worship team gives us an opportunity to develop our gifts. Yes, we need you. But most importantly, the God of the universe deserves our praise. Being a part of the team gives us the opportunity to use our gifts to love the Father, to minister to the Father’s heart and thank him for everything he has done and will continue to do for us.
If God has given you the gift of music, or A/V i.e. Tech management, ask, what may be holding you back from joining the team? Is it fear? Time? Commitment? Bring it all to God. Let him take away the fear. Let him speak into your schedule. Step out in faith and be the worshiper God has created you to be!
